As per the report, ever since April, 2009 when the $ 75 billion supported Home Affordable Modification Plan (HAMP) went into action, as many as 400,000 distressed homeowners have been granted permanent loan modifications. And today, borrowers, who have qualified for a permanent HAMP mortgage modification plan, are saving up to $ 500 every month on their monthly mortgage payments.
